I've taken a week off of work and today I hope to actually drive my truck out of the garage for the first time ever under it's own power!!
I've no power steering hoses yet though, so it should be 'interesting' if not heavy to say the least!

BIG, I assume you've bled all the air out the system?
That can cause the 'bumping' you describe.

I'm also sure you're aware the F*rd rack and Chevy pump operate at different pressure/flow rates.
Has your pump been adapted to suit?
