The old jenny did inj fact cook iteself. Flung solder from the armature all out and shorted the whole thing. So it is at the shop for re-rebuild. Joy!
Good news is the beat up core I got off E-pay is solid and charges well, just needs a new end cap and a wide belt pulley and I can put it into service. Not a bad score for $9.99 plus shipping. grin
