Welcome to the Stovebolt community. Nice looking truck. Since yours has a 2bbl carb it is probably a 302. That is highly desirable. The first 3 numbers of the engine number will tell you. Sounds like you have an Eaton 2 speed rear end because of the electric shift. These Chevy guys are used to seeing a vacuum shift switch on the dash.

I have a '55 GMC 450 with a winch and poles. It has the 302 and the switch like yours.
