I talked to people about what was goin on, and when I said the word Champion, each and every one said "ahhhhh, there's your problem". Evidently I'm not the only one that's had issues with them. I wonder what up with that, they used to be the poo. Ah well, so long as the AC plugs work out I'm happy, if not I'm getting a set of NGK.
The run to the pizza joint was pretty uneventful, everyone was inside coz of the cold winds, only had one person ask me about the old girl. Still, had a lot of stares when I rolled her in. Managed to get a spot right in front of the doors too. Ran great and I'm starting to get the hang of shifting up and down with the rear end and tranny, makes those slight hills a bit easier to tackle anyway. I need to get the vents re-asslembled so the heat stays in the truck tho, got a little chilly on the drive home! Also thinkin about goin by the local sand-box and see if I can get them to drop a couple scoops of sand in the back to test the lift, just wanna make sure it can push up a load should I need to use it.
All in all a fun drive, looking forward to doing it more often.
I dig all cars, old and new, whether they were hammered out of American iron, German steel, or Japanese tin cans. Being unable to appreciate them all is missing out on a world of great things. But thats just MY opinion! :P
