The solution is obvious Phil. Map out all the maples, and calculate how far the seeds can travel in a moderate wind. Quadruple that measurement.
Now it’s time to employ a good old fashioned scorched earth policy. Sure, some of the neighbors might get a little annoyed, but once you explain it was required for the paint job on your truck, they’ll come around.
In hindsight, I can tell you’re laughing at “the comedy of errors”. Good for you. I’m sure it was pretty frustrating in the moment.
