I’m going to locate the compressor about 12’ from the sub panel. My plan is to hardwire a dedicated circuit using 8 gauge wire and a 50 amp breaker with a disconnect right by the compressor. I had previously used 1/2” copper pipe with a loop and a couple of drains to capture water but that compressor was much smaller and located upstairs, so I’ll need to reconfigure the piping. With the price of copper nearing the price of gold, I ordered a rapid air kit to run tubing around the shop. Now I need to address water separation and filtration.
