From what I have found (I have the 1.0 version), the gun itself is the same as the 2.0, but the difference is in the nozzles and cup connection. So theoretically, I could use the 2.0 nozzles, and cups. I have not verified that however. My gun came with 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 and 1.8 nozzles which covered both primer and final coats.
