I looked at it when I had the adjustment close, thinking I don’t want to move it, but it looks near impossible to get the hinge side right to me, so I took it off one more time and I’m glad I did. So much easier!

I got my weatherstripping from Classic Parts a few years ago.

I had the same problem and I substituted screws that had a shallower head.
