WICruiser, I think there are multiple issues at play. The liquid out the tail pipe is one issue. The inability to start without ether is another. The lack of idle is a third. I know I need to be logical and not emotional. I'll try as you suggest and remove and reseat the idle screw. I think I might also try a different coil. My logic is to try to solve as many of the issues as I can before embarking on major surgery. Thank you for the suggestions!
