Bloody stubborn hood…done. In the end I turned to a grinder with a pretty aggressive wire wheel and stripped off the dark, impenetrable, from the seventh level of ehll, ugly yellow. Once I busted through, I hit it with the DA sander and some 80 grit. Looking good so far. No big issues raised so far.
