Almost there... I had issues with how the 'inner tub" on this reproduction front right, lower fender panel lined up. The mounting hole for the inner fender was out by almost an inch. My fender was pretty straight to start with so I doubt it was "my fault." I cut it out and massaged it heavily to get a good curvature that matches the inner fender. I then drilled a new hole for the mounting nut. I probably could have started from scratch on this piece, but oh well. It looks a lot better, straighter, and truer than if I had left the patch "as reproduced."
I just have to weld this out, metal finish it, and I believe this fender is also done. Whoop whoop!
Yeesh. Did it really take me that long to do these 4 fenders? Yikes. Perhaps I could have purchased reproductions? 😉
