I haven't welded out anything on this left hand door but I have been checking and rechecking gaps and things as I go. The repro inner panel curve doesn't have the "step recess" along the bottom that the stock door had and, of course, it hit the rocker as you closed the door. So I pulled the door, cut out a small moon shaped piece about 4 inches long and inserted a hand formed step. The door closes smoothly now with about 1/8-3/16" clearance underneath the notch.

The bloody weather sure isn't cooperating. I will be using my pal's blasting booths to strip the insides of these doors so I can epoxy and seal them up before welding. However, his booth draws air from outside and when it is -30° at times it cools off too quickly. I have literally been waiting almost 2 weeks for it to warm up so I can blast and weld out these doors. It has been -20°C or colder every single night since January 31. Miserable. It has been so cold that school buses have refused to run. Consequently, we had 12 days off from school. We had over a week of -38°C at night. Our first day of regular classes was on Feb13! Unreal. The other day I went outside and realized it had warmed up...it was -17°C. But I'll take cold weather any day over say....Syria. Thank God, I live where I live. Cold weather will pass...

I took a break and finished stripping the cab components. I blasted the wiper linkages, removed the wiring harness and ignition, bagged and tagged clips, screws and bolts. The interior is barren and ready for mock-up of all the components that have to go in later.

I also started the hood. It has a few nasty dents in the front right that I need to access from the back. I drilled out a bunch of spot welds and removed the front hood support so I can access the dents. It's going well so far.
