Joker.....The engine has to cool down about an hour before it wants to crank like it should.
Did the heat shielding on your starter help any?
Timing.....I also checked the timing last month, and it was spot-on. Wondering how a "weak timing chain" could pose these symptons. Man, she starts like a champ when cold and runs super sweet and with good power until I turn the engine off. This would be a great truck for someone living in Mexico.....just take a good 1 hr siesta everytime you stop the truck....wake up, and all is good.
