Flatblu/Hotrod Jerry......OK, you have a VERY good point. I cleaned the battery cables and the posts, and also the positive connection to the new starter. However, I did not actually take off the battery ground on the engine block and clean. It "looked" good, but that can be deceiving. That will be the first thing I do today, ahead of the waterpump and alt. test. Very good point here.
