I removed the head on my 1950 Farmall Cub a few years back. The old farmers said spray, tap every day for 2 weeks. They all came out ok but that first turn on each one was the thought of twisting the bolt and breaking the bolt but in the end they all came out and tractor still runs fine. The old head was cracked.
On my 46 some things I do enjoy doing but the thought of making things worse is in the back of my mind. But when it’s all done and working it gives one a great sense of accomplishment.
