Too late, Chuck. Side cover is off. It had to come off anyway because it was leaking. Fixing all the oil seepage at the valve and side covers is what started Operation Worm Can in the first place.

Anyway, as you can see, the copper tube is broken right where it goes up into the head.

So, are compression fitting couplings available in this size copper tube to join the two pieces back together? High temp silicone hose?
