Understood. So , if I find a shop/ person who’s skills I trust , should I ask him the take measures to assure that joining of the “puck” to the tank is sound?
As an aside, if this had happened 5 years ago I would have had a choice of at least 2 shops staffed by people I knew and trusted. Skilled welders , fabricators, machinists …
