Please let us know what means of repair the shop chooses. It sounds though like you have a good reputable resource there - and that’s not to be taken for granted these days. People possessing such skills are a dying breed.

I’m still considering welding for my tank. I also plan to learn more about brazing before deciding. I do not know what the advantages of soldering are, other than the ease of later removal. As previously stated I don’t care too much about ease of removal.
