It sounds like reverse is not getting fully engaged- - - - -maybe your lockout rod is bottoming out before the detent engages? How about increasing the length of the bellcrank on the cable lockout? That will clear the solenoid. The only downside would be a slightly longer pull on the cable knob when you use the manual lockout- - - -which will be seldom if the OD is working properly.
