It is good to hear from you, Kenneth. I do have the documentation that you gave me. I did buy the Ford version of a relay and a kickdown switch. It is aftermarket, so I cannot match the number, but it is a nice little box with a 20 amp fuse. Another forum member provided me a harness and a diagram to wire the Ford parts to my GM setup.
After having been advised by member rfs56trk on how to bypass the kickdown switch when my OD stopped working it began working but then worked for only a very short time. Back onto the blocks. This time the solenoid did not work during testing. Member rfs56trk offered further advice on how to disassemble the solenoid then give it a cleaning and a check. It passed the bench test today and is reinstalled, waiting for the next test drive.
