I thought it was weird that your repro and NOS kickdown switches were different as far as continuity between the terminals closest to the plunger end. But I hadn't dug into it. From looking at the wiring diagram (attached) from the Chevy manual, I believe that those two terminals should have continuity, as electrical diagrams typically show contact positions in an at rest or non-powered condition. That being said, it appears to me that your Repro switch is no good. Don't know which you are planning on using, but I'd go with the NOS.
