Robert,
It appears that you found the problem. Likely someone did some work to the transmission that didn't understand
the overdrive operations. You might try Anaheim Gear in Anaheim CA. They may have that lever/cam part or have
a suggestion on where to get one.
I would like to offer a correction to an earlier post regarding the shift rail for the reverse lock out. It is a two section
shift rail as shown in the Old Burb photo. What you have is correct and would operate with the correct side
cover and L/R cam assembly.
