The simple fix would be to put a bushing into the hole so the pin doesn't drop out of position. There's probably one missing. The Borg-Warner overdrive will be more or less the same unit, regardless of which transmission it happens to be mated with. I would strongly suggest finding a more reliable source for your repair information.
