I'm glad to hear you finally got the thing to working. I always keep OD transmissions locked out around town. And of course I did second over at times just for the right gear. I think back in the day I would have rather had a T-5 if they had been invented then. But they came out about 15 to 20 years too late for me to enjoy them. 60 years ago our main street had black marks like a runway. And I put quite a few of them thee. Shifting from 1st or 2nd direct to over was just too slow. And my Y-Blocks really didn't need that extra gear. I used a Hurst Mystery shifter and it was much faster than waiting for the OD to shift. Of course this cost me quite a few input shafts and cluster gears. I still have some spare sets that I will probably never use.
