I'm having great fun driving my truck around and playing with my new toy. I do, however, keep in mind that I do need to buy another kickdown switch and get that working before I am completely finished with this project. I am shocked (shocked!) that an aftermarket reproduction switch failed on its first use.

The next one may or may not come from a different vendor. I recognize that probably all vendors source from the same factory, but buying 2 or 3 duds to get one that works is better than getting nothing at all.

Multiple forums make multiple mention about it being a good idea to make the truck stop better before you make it go faster. I 100% agree with that and started a disc brake conversion in August, 2023. I had many problems with that and have been working on it since then. I finished the fixes while I was fixing this transmission, and I find that the brakes are wonderful now. Sure, quick stops, light pressure, plenty of pedal remaining for use in emergency. I'm having fun enjoying that also.
