A quick emergency fix is to remove the top radiator hose at the thermostat housing and poke the center out of the thermostat with a big punch or a screwdriver. Top the system off with plain water and drive on to somewhere you can do more diagnosis and repair. There's nothing small enough to pass through the upper hose and get trapped in the radiator, so you can scavenge out all the bits and pieces that get dislodged pretty easily. Jerry
