I forgot to measure the distance between T stat housing bolts so I can buy the right gasket when I get a new T stat. Can someone tell me that measurement? I don't trust the parts places to get the right one. I took my old gasket to my FLAPS (it is a NAPA) to match up a couple of weeks ago. The guy just looked it up by application, a '52 GMC 228. Computer was right. I bought 3. I'm pretty sure that the same thermostat housing (and therefore gasket) is used on GMC and Chevys of that era. NAPA part # 1038-ST.
