What was the ambient outside temperature that day? The reason I ask is that on a cold day, the thermostat will close at whatever it's rating dictates in order to maintain a hot enough engine temperature for maximum performance in cold weather.
Being Otto`s thread , I should not go into detail. But it was recently. Both 327 have 160 degree stats and run cooler at the radiator than 180. IDK. I have gun to check temp. All I can speak to is what I have in front of me.
