I believe you are off by a series or 2 as most grain trucks around Okla were 4100-6400 series. A 3800 would be a 1 ton and kind of small for hauling wheat. Anyway, what you are proposing is a bandaid at best. Yes it's been done hundreds of times by farmers who needed to get ole Betsy back to the field asap. The real fix would be a complete overhaul including machine work to bring the block up to specs. Get you a good glaze breaking hone to deglaze the cylinders and a copy of the shop manual (available on line) and go for it.ðŸ›
