I agree that it appears that the axles are the upper control arms but it also appears that they may be equal length to the lower control arms (depending where the outer pivot point is) and therefore may be closer to maintaining the wheels vertical through the range of travel. I may be giving the folks at Jag to much credit but I think the simple swing axle set up that doomed the Corvair is probably not what Jag was trying to accomplish.
