So, why did Chevrolet design the '62 and '64 trucks to run the 16 hole bypass T-stat that doesn't ever close off the bypass??? Is this a simple flow thing where the coolant just naturally goes to the radiator as soon as it opens the main (top) port (path of least resistance)??? If that's the case, why did they not use that T-stat in '63???
Lots of question that we may never have answers to...
Who would have thought there could be this much discussion about T-stat housings for a 261...LOL
