If I said anything wrong, please point it out. Tim, I would like permission to include the pictures of the larger radiator hose opening for an update to The Venerable 261 document. At least it appears bigger than the 235. What is the measurement comparisons? Your casting numbers are exactly the same as mine which means.. what? Mine came out of a CLS60 from 1961, so not sure why they would make two different diameters with same casting number.

Matt.. I don't think it needs to turn off the bypass when at temperature. I think the way it works is, when cool, water flows around through the holes on the side and then when it's at temp, the thermostat opens giving it even more flow. Am I wrong? I do not think there is ever a condition where there is no flow.
