Yes, 261 style thermostats are available. They have been referenced in other recent posts on this subject (in the Swap Meet - by Matt, I think).

Regarding water flow restrictions, I am not interested in participating in a discussion regarding hydraulics and flow restrictors (meaningless with respect to the original post in this thread). Measure the cross-sectional area of the smallest opening.
(these are smaller diameter thermostats than were used in later/larger 261 thermostat housings)
