. . the head numbers on this 54 235 engine I'm rebuilding.
They are:
Head: 3836848, GM23, E65, CON 9
Block: 031664ET54X CON 2
I don't know the full history of this engine so either I have a later model head on a 54 block or these supposed later version high compression 3836848 heads came on 54's also.

The head date code is E65:
E = 5 = May
6 = 6th
5 = 1955
