I just bought a very nice polished (and I believe/hope forged) 3/8" ratchet drive (Kolbalt brand nicer variety ($30) made in Taiwan) from Lowes.

This to replace my Sears that has had 2 heads (IIRC) replaced in it, but was starting to act up the other day and I figured that after about 35 years I deserved a nicer 3/8 ratchet. I also am not sure I can find a Sears anymore or take the time to bother with them to try to get them to deal with the Craftsman. I suspect they wouldn't put a new head in it, just try to give me a replacment that wasn't designed to work for 30 years.

I hope the Kobalt is 1/2 the ratchet the Craftsman has been.
