Wheel Dollies! I while back I bought some of those cheap wheel dollies from Harbor Freight. You know, the ones that are basically a steel plate bent in V with 4 casters on each. I wanted to use them on my wife's 2000 VW beetle. No dice. I could move the back end but not the front by myself. It felt like I was going to bend a fender trying to push or pull that thing. Now they live under my snow plow and work fine for that. So now that I have my new one ton, I really needed to move it over to where there is no garage door. I did some research and the gojacks seem to be the bomb but I wasn't going to spend the money they we asking for them. I looked up the HF hydraulic jacks and they seem to get pretty good reviews. Yesterday I splurged and bought 4 of them. They were rated at 1250 lbs each. I think that gave me some wiggle room and hoped that they were capable of doing a little more then rated before they grenaded. Regularly they were 89.95 each and I got 20% off with a coupon. Brought them home, put the wheels on and tried them out. I easily moved the truck by myself to where I needed it to go. Very pleased with how well they worked.....at least for now. I am not the biggest fan of HF stuff but if they hold up for the few times a year I will need to use them then I will be happy. I got a one year extra warranty so if I break one they will exchange it no questions asked. I don't intend to leave the truck up on the jacks, just for moving it.
