I'd beg to differ with you on several counts....I'ver had a bunch of mail and a couple of phone calls regarding this thread
People do want to do things correctly......it saves them money and heartache not to mention the redo time and such
Perhaps it's the gray wet winter that has you down on the guys here.
I suggest that most here ARE trying to help others.
Some are better than others at expressing themselves.I have had to stop and think how I really do things step by step.......I've been doing this so long that I can't understand grinding the crank without measuring first.....I know it happens
