Mike, very well described! Back in my misspent youth (early 70's) a good friend who was a fellow Mopar fanatic had a Sun Distributor machine along with a lot of other rather high end tools and instruments. We spent a few sessions tuning the dual point distributor in my 340 Duster when I was running NHRA E Stock. I think I've still got a box of springs and weights along with jets, needles and seats for AVS and Thermoquad carbs (back in the day the tech inspectors didn't know AVS's were stock in '70, Thermoquads were stock in '71 and 1,000 cfm Thermoquads were never stock. It was a simpler world back then.
