After numerous times trying to seat them and making sure it was proper.
They were not allowing the manifold to get close enough.
IDK how it just was. The header and manifold were not originally together.
Maybe it was machined down.
Rings don`t need to be there. It is aligned.
If the manifolds have been resurfaced to flatten them out, the recesses for the rings may be too shallow for the manifold to reach the head surface. The solution there would be to shorten the rings.
