Here is the throttle linkage return spring configuration. Part of a Holley manifold mounted return spring (Springs and used the catch on the oil pan bolt ). Works fine. Should clear the exhaust flange.
Before pic is with the original carb. Also you can see the original blue paint on a truck 235. Panel truck.
