That valve system is WAY too noisy! Have you determined if it's got mechanical or hydraulic lifters, and has there been any valve adjusting done yet? By 1957, I believe all the 235 passenger car engines had hydraulics. Trucks stayed mechanical through the early 1960s, even though all the blocks were drilled for hydraulics.
