Update. I'm having Steve from Buffalo Enterprises fab on dedicated 4 bolt plates onto my Edelbrock manifold for the 2-2 bbl Carter-Webers I purchased from Tom Langdon.

I realize this is sacrilege but I'm only concerned with the person I see in the mirror. Besides, Steve and Tom have forgotten more than I'll ever learn about these engines and it's 'cool' with them.

I see myself as a 'test pilot' for ideas such as,....... Tom's H-W I've had on for 7-8 years has worked flawlessly, the 'x-pipe' I installed two years ago has not only quieted the rap but seems to give a little more power going up the long hills here in the piedmont region of central VA. Staying with the test pilot theme I am a year round driver, my '49 is my only vehicle so I experience 100+ degree days idling in traffic as well as sub-freezing temps. Cheers, Cosmo.
