On the original Fentons and, I believe, the repros there are two types of donut gaskets that will work, one each, on the front and rear header. One is a full donut to work on the bevel with a slightly flared exhaust pipe and the other is a half donut, for lack of a better term, that will work on the flat surface header. If that exhaust pipe is flared slightly, it will work much better than a gasket because it will allow a little "wiggle room", like the other, due to the flare. Most of the muffler shops can get or have both. By using these donuts, you can slip the exhaust pipe around during installation to perfectly align them. It's a better way to get a good installation!
I've got a set of Curt's linkage and I will tell you and anybody else that wants to know, it works great! It's a simple design that does the job very nicely. It is well designed and well engineered and looks vintage!
