I can buy a 6 or 8 or 10 color wire assortment in a whatever gauge I choose for a pretty decent price. To keep things simple, I was thinking 8 or so colors of 16 gauge. That would be overkill for some circuits but keeps from a ordering a bunch of different sizes.
For the larger wires on the factory diagram, would 12 gauge suffice? My understanding is that larger wire was necessary in a 6v system. Other than the battery cables, it looks like the largest original wires were 10 gauge.
