I’ve actually had that thought about using a trailer wire junction block. I figured I’d get made fun of…for extreme overkill.
Ha ha ha; yes I've been accused of "overkill" before. "Go Big or Go Home", as I like to say.
It makes life easier, I think - if you need to do maintenance, add lights, etc - just makes life easier.
