Just make sure you obsessively label *every* wire in that process. You don't want to get to changeover day and have to go re-trace something you routed 2 months earlier.
Agreed. Some label makers can handle heat shrink.
I probably won’t invest in one, but I have discovered a redneck work-around. If you write in sharp point pen on white heat shrink, you end up with a readable label.
