That's an interesting concept that I have thought about, but I would still need to find an older block because I want to run the PCV out of the road draft tube hole, not the valve covers if possible.
That would make it a lot easier to get a block, and I may have to give up that idea if I can't find a decent block at a decent price.


I will keep it in mind.


Edit: If I do go that route, that would make a later rebuild easier to get a 327, just use the 307 crank you mentioned in an earlier post.
