Been going to a lot of car shows lately. One thing I managed to do was adjust the front sheet metal. Aligned the hood and closed up the gaps between hood and fender. I think my drivers inner fender is a '54 as that's what a previous owner put on the truck for a replacement fender. I changed to a proper fender long ago. Holes didn't line up whatsoever at the grill. Made new holes. Bolted the fender through the inner fender to the grill. It's amazing how many squeaks go away when you do that. I still need to replace the drivers outer cowl panel along with the inner to outer piece. But that will come much later. I have another show or two next weekend. Then I can put the thing back in the shop and start grinding and smoothing the roof. I'll need it ready for another show or two in September. Plans are to spend a couple of summer months getting the roof in epoxy primer and, hopefully, even the hood and front fenders! Oh yeah, the front bumper should be going to the chrome shop also.
