Well, I am not worried about the cylinders, as the motor had been recently rebuilt. My Mom had driven it once, and the heater core hose broke under the hood, and she drove it home and over heated it. I tore down the motor and had a friend (diesel mechanic) help me, and we found that some valves were burnt, and rod bearings needed replacing. I dropped the block, heads, crank, and cam off at Clackamas Auto Parts to have them clean the block, and have the heads done. They are also going to hone the cylinders out. And if needed, polish the crank.
As far as I know, everything is in good, barely worn, condition. Thanks for all the more replies people. I re-read my earlier post, and almost didnt understand what I wrote, I wonder if its the same with this one???
