Hi all, I have decided not to put that 305 SBC or any other V8 in my '55 chevy but instead to juct restore it to factory original, so instead my Mom and Dad gave me a '73 1/2 ton chevy that has a 305 SBC in it, out of a '77 nova. I have it on the stand right now, and am rebuilding it. But, once its done, how do I go about "Breaking" the motor in. I was told to take it easy on the motor for atleast 500Miles, and change the oil often and not to "Whomp" on it, or punch it, to give the rings and rod bearings time to settle in. What you you guys recommend, or atleast suggest? Thanks for the help!
